Zip Path
Draw one unbroken path through numbered dots in order, covering every cell of the grid. A new daily grid every day.
How to play
- The grid has numbered dots. Draw a single path that starts on 1, passes through the numbers in order and ends on the highest number.
- The path moves one cell at a time up, down, left or right, and it must cover every cell of the grid exactly once.
- Drag across the cells, or tap them one by one. Tap or drag back onto a cell already on your path to step back to it.
- Undo removes the last cell and Clear removes the whole path. The timer starts with your first move and stops when the grid is covered.
Tips and strategy
- Start from the corners and edges: a cell with only two free neighbours must connect to both of them.
- Think about where the path has to go between two numbers. Cells far from any number still have to be visited on the way.
- If the path leaves a cell cut off with no way back in, undo to before the move that sealed it off.
- Walk the grid in long sweeps along rows when you can, and use the numbers as checkpoints for the order.
FAQ
- Is there only one correct path?
- A grid may have more than one valid path. Any path that starts on 1, hits every number in order, covers every cell and ends on the last number counts as solved.
- Can I cross my own path?
- No. Every cell is visited exactly once, so the path can never cross or touch itself.
- Is the daily grid the same for everyone?
- Yes. It is built from the UTC date, so everyone gets the same grid until 00:00 UTC.
