Word Wheel
Make as many words as you can from nine letters on a wheel. Every word must use the centre letter. A new wheel every day and a ranking to climb.
How to play
- Nine letters sit on a wheel. Tap them or type to spell a word of four or more letters.
- Every word must contain the centre letter. You can use each letter as many times as it appears on the wheel.
- Press Submit or Enter to add the word. Longer words score more, and a word using all nine letters earns a big bonus.
- Climb the ranks from Seedling to Wheel Master. Tap Finish when you're done to see the words you missed.
Tips and strategy
- Start with short words and plurals to warm up, then look for endings like -ING, -ED and -ER.
- Use Shuffle to rearrange the outer letters. A fresh view often reveals a word you missed.
- One word on every wheel uses eight letters. Look for a long word that fits the centre letter.
- Rare words from the larger list still count and are marked as bonus words.
FAQ
- Do I have to use every letter?
- No. You only have to use the centre letter. Words that use all nine letters are rare and earn a big bonus.
- Can I use a letter twice?
- Only if it appears twice on the wheel. Otherwise each letter can be used once per word.
- Are plurals allowed?
- Yes, as long as the word is in the word list. Proper names and abbreviations are not.
