Hang Daily
Guess a hidden everyday word one letter at a time before the figure is complete. One new word every day, plus unlimited practice words.
How to play
- A hidden word is shown as blank slots. It has between five and eight letters.
- Tap a letter, or type it on your keyboard. If the word contains it, every matching slot is filled in.
- If the word does not contain the letter, the figure on the gallows gains a piece. Six wrong guesses and the figure is complete.
- Fill in every slot before that happens to win. Daily mode gives one word per day. Practice mode gives a fresh word each time.
Tips and strategy
- Start with common letters: E, A, R, I, O, T, N and S.
- Use the word length. A five letter word usually has two or three vowels, and long words often end in ED, ER, ING or LY.
- Once you have a few letters, think about what words fit the pattern, then try the letter that separates your best guesses.
- Do not waste guesses on rare letters like Q, X and Z until the pattern points at them.
FAQ
- How many wrong guesses do I get?
- Six. The sixth wrong letter completes the figure and ends the round.
- Is the daily word the same for everyone?
- Yes. It is chosen from the date, so everyone plays the same word on the same day.
- Can I play again after the daily?
- Yes. Choose New word, or switch to Practice, for as many extra rounds as you like. Practice rounds do not change your daily result.
