How to play
- Tap the first letter of a word in the grid, then tap its last letter. If the line spells one of the listed words, it lights up.
- Words can run across, down or diagonally, and they can be written backwards.
- Found words are crossed off the list. Find all eight to finish, and the clock stops.
- Stuck? Hint rings the first letter of a word you have not found yet. Hints are shown on your result.
Tips and strategy
- Scan for the rarest letters in a word first, like Z, X, K or Q, and then check the cells around them.
- Look for words backwards as well as forwards. Many players forget half the directions.
- Tap the same cell twice to cancel a selection, or just tap a new first letter.
- The theme is shown above the grid, so use it to guess likely words.

- Is the grid the same for everyone?
- Yes. The theme and the grid are generated from the date, so everyone gets the same puzzle each day.
- Can I drag instead of tapping?
- Tapping the first and last letters works on every device, so that is how selection works here.
- Can I play more than one grid a day?
- Use Practice for as many random grids as you like. Only the daily grid counts toward your streak.
