Anagram Rush
Unscramble as many words as you can in 60 seconds. Words start short and get longer. A new word set every day.
How to play
- Press Start. You get 60 seconds and a scrambled word is shown as letter tiles.
- Type the word. As soon as you enter a valid word made from the same letters, it scores and the next scramble appears.
- Each word scores one point per letter. The words begin at four letters and grow to seven as you go.
- Shuffle rearranges the tiles to help you see the word, and Pass skips a word you cannot solve.
Tips and strategy
- Look for common endings first, such as ING, ED, ER and LY, then rebuild the front.
- Do not spend more than a few seconds on one word. A quick Pass is worth more than being stuck.
- Any real word that uses exactly the same letters is accepted, not just the one the puzzle started from.
- Say the letters out loud in your head in different orders. Hearing a word often helps when seeing it does not.
FAQ
- What if the scramble has two valid answers?
- Either one counts. The game checks that your word uses exactly the scrambled letters and is in the dictionary.
- Do skipped words cost points?
- No. Passing is free, but the clock keeps running, so a fast skip is usually the smart choice.
- Is the daily word set the same for everyone?
- Yes. The words and their scrambles come from the UTC date, so everyone plays the same set until 00:00 UTC.
