Prefix Four
Four word endings are shown. Pick the single word that can go in front of all four to make real words. Daily and practice.
How to play
- Four word endings appear, each starting with a blank, such as ___fold, ___color and ___angle.
- Pick the word that can be placed in front of every one of them to make a real word. Here it is TRI.
- Only one option works for all four endings. The others break at least two of them.
- Wrong picks are greyed out and counted as mistakes. The clock starts on your first tap.
Tips and strategy
- Test your guess on the ending you find hardest first. If it works there it usually works everywhere.
- Some beginnings are short, such as UN, RE and TRI, so try small pieces as well as whole words.
- Read the note after each answer to see the four finished words.
- A run of questions on the same beginning is rare, so each one is fresh.
FAQ
- Is the beginning always a whole word?
- No. It can be a prefix such as tri or micro as well as a whole word such as sun or home.
- Could another option work on one or two endings?
- Yes, but each wrong option is chosen to fail on at least two of the four endings.
- Does the daily change?
- Yes. A new set of questions is built from the date each day.
