Piece Pack

Fit a set of five-square pentomino pieces into a shaded outline with no gaps or overlaps. Daily and practice puzzles.

How to play

The shaded squares on the board form an outline. The tray above it holds the pieces you must fit inside.
Pick a piece in the tray, press Turn to cycle through its rotations and flips, then tap a board square to drop the piece there. The piece's top-left block lands on the square you tap.
Pieces must stay inside the outline and cannot overlap. Tap a placed piece to pick it up again.
Every piece has to be used. The puzzle completes when the outline is fully covered.

Start with the squares in the tightest corners of the outline, since few pieces can fill them.
A single long straight piece usually has only one or two places it can lie.
A narrow gap exactly one square wide has to be filled by a piece with a one-square-wide end.
Hover or focus a square to preview where the selected piece would land before you tap.

Can pieces be flipped as well as rotated?: Yes. Turn cycles through every rotation and mirror image of the selected piece.
Is the answer unique?: Not always. Any arrangement that covers the outline with all the pieces is accepted.
Is the daily puzzle shared?: Yes. It is built from the UTC date and resets at 00:00 UTC.
