Colour Flood
Start in the top-left corner and flood the whole board with one colour inside a move limit. A shared daily board plus practice sizes.
How to play
- Your flood begins in the top-left square. Every square connected to it by the same colour belongs to the flood.
- Pick one of the colour buttons to repaint the whole flood in that colour. It swallows every neighbouring square of that colour and grows.
- Flood the entire board with a single colour before your moves run out. The counter shows moves used against the limit.
- If you run out of moves, press Reset to try the same board again with a fresh plan.
Tips and strategy
- Look for colours that border the flood in several places, since they gain the most squares in one move.
- Clearing isolated single squares early often costs a move, so leave them until they sit next to a big patch.
- Plan the last few colours backwards from the remaining patches so none is left stranded in a far corner.
- The move limit is always a little above what a simple greedy strategy needs, so careful planning has room to win.
FAQ
- Is the move limit fair?
- Yes. Each board is checked against a computer plan that floods it, and you get a couple of spare moves on top.
- Can I undo a move?
- No, but Reset restores the starting board so you can plan a better route.
- Is the daily board the same for everyone?
- Yes. It is built from the UTC date and resets at 00:00 UTC.
