Car Park Jam
Slide the cars out of the way to free the red car. Every puzzle has a known minimum number of moves, so aim for par. A new jam every day plus 30 levels.
How to play
- Cars sit on a 6 by 6 car park. Horizontal cars slide left and right, vertical cars slide up and down, and none can turn or jump over another.
- Select a car, then use the arrow buttons or keyboard arrows, or tap a free square in its lane, to slide it. The red car must reach the gold exit on the right of row 3.
- Sliding a car any distance counts as one move, and nudging the same car the same way again still counts once.
- Every puzzle has a par, the fewest moves possible. Beat or match it for a perfect result.
Tips and strategy
- Work backwards from the exit: find which cars block the red car's lane and what blocks them.
- Long vertical cars are the hardest to move, so free their lanes early.
- Use Undo freely. It rewinds your last slide and the move count with it.
- Hint solves from the position you are in now, so it is still useful after a wrong turn.
FAQ
- How is par worked out?
- Each puzzle was searched completely offline, so par is the true minimum number of moves and not an estimate.
- Does the exit cost a move?
- No. The puzzle counts as solved as soon as the red car is flush with the right edge.
- Do the puzzles repeat?
- The 30 levels are fixed. The daily picks one from a pool of 60 hard puzzles by date.
