Colour Lines
Join each pair of matching dots with a line, fill every square, and never cross. A new puzzle every day plus 30 levels.
How to play
- Pairs of numbered, coloured dots sit on a grid. Drag from one dot to its partner, or tap a dot and then tap neighbouring squares.
- Lines run through squares side to side, never diagonally, and lines of different colours cannot cross. Drawing over another line cuts it back.
- You win when every pair is joined and every square on the board is filled.
- The grid grows from 5 by 5 up to 8 by 8 over the 30 levels, with more pairs as it goes.
Tips and strategy
- Squares in corners have only two neighbours, so the lines that fill them are forced. Start there.
- Hug the walls: lines along an edge leave the middle free for the other colours.
- Because every square must be filled, a square nobody can reach is a sign an earlier line took the wrong route.
- Tap the end of your line to back up one square at a time.
FAQ
- Is there only one solution?
- Not necessarily. Any layout that joins all pairs and fills the grid counts as solved.
- How are strokes counted?
- Each time you start or restart a line from a dot or from the middle of a line counts as one stroke. Fewer is better but not required.
- Does it work with touch and keyboard?
- Yes. Drag with a finger or mouse, tap to extend, or focus a square and press Enter or Space.
