Arrow Escape
Tap each arrow to send it flying off the board, but only if nothing is in its way. Clear the whole grid before you run out of lives. A new board every day plus 30 levels.
How to play
- Every arrow points in one direction and leaves the board along a straight line from its head. Tap an arrow to send it away.
- An arrow only escapes if every square ahead of its head is empty. Tap a blocked arrow and you lose one of your three lives.
- Clear all the arrows to win. Taking an arrow away never blocks another, so the board is always solvable if you pick the free ones first.
- Play the daily board, or work through 30 levels that grow from a 5 by 5 grid to 8 by 8 with longer arrows.
Tips and strategy
- Start with arrows that point at an edge with nothing between them and it.
- Follow the chain: if arrow A is blocked by B, find out what blocks B and work backwards.
- Use Hint when stuck. It highlights an arrow that can leave right now, and costs no life.
- Mistakes are the score for the daily. Think before each tap and aim for zero.
FAQ
- Can a board be impossible?
- No. Every board is built so that clearing it is always possible, and the test suite checks that every level and the daily can be cleared.
- What does losing all lives do?
- The board ends. For the daily, today's attempt is recorded as failed. In levels you can restart and try again.
- Is the daily the same for everyone?
- Yes. It is generated from the UTC date, so everyone gets the same board until 00:00 UTC.
