Peg Jump
Jump pegs over their neighbours to remove them, finishing with a single peg on the cross-shaped board. Daily and practice puzzles.
How to play
- Tap a peg to select it. Holes where it can land are highlighted.
- A peg jumps in a straight line, up, down, left or right, over one neighbouring peg into the empty hole directly behind it. The peg jumped over is removed.
- Keep jumping until only one peg is left on the board. Use Undo to take back a jump or Reset to start again.
- If no jumps are left and more than one peg remains, undo some jumps and try another route.
Tips and strategy
- Pegs in the corners of the cross are hard to remove later, so use them early.
- Try to keep pegs together in one group instead of scattering lone pegs that cannot jump.
- Work backwards: the last jump needs two pegs side by side with a hole behind them.
- Every board is guaranteed to have at least one way to finish, so a dead end only means an earlier jump was wrong.
FAQ
- Are all puzzles solvable?
- Yes. Each puzzle is built by running real jumps backwards from a single peg, so a finishing route always exists.
- Do I need to end on a particular hole?
- No. The puzzle is complete when exactly one peg remains, wherever it is.
- Is the daily puzzle the same for everyone?
- Yes. It comes from the UTC date and resets at 00:00 UTC.
