Island Bridges
Link numbered islands with single and double bridges until every island has its bridge count and the whole archipelago is connected. Daily and practice maps.
How to play
- Each circle is an island, and its number is exactly how many bridges must touch it.
- Tap one island and then another island in a straight line with it, with nothing between them, to build a bridge. Tap the same pair again for a double bridge, and a third time to remove it.
- Bridges run only horizontally or vertically, never cross each other, and at most two can join the same pair.
- An island turns shaded when its count is right and red when it has too many. The puzzle completes when every count is right and all islands are connected into one group.
Tips and strategy
- An island with a 1 in the corner can only link to one neighbour, so start with the smallest numbers.
- A 4 in a corner or an 8 anywhere forces double bridges in every direction.
- Two neighbouring 1s can never be joined to each other, because that would cut them off from the rest.
- If a bridge is blocked by a crossing, the game tells you instead of drawing it.
FAQ
- Is the answer unique?
- Not always. Any set of bridges that matches every number, avoids crossings and connects every island is accepted.
- How do I remove a bridge?
- Tap the same pair of islands again. One tap makes a single bridge, two a double and three removes it.
- Is the daily map the same for everyone?
- Yes. It comes from the UTC date and resets at 00:00 UTC.
