Mini Cross
A five by five crossword with six short clues, hand written and quick to solve. A new puzzle every day, plus practice from a rotating set.
How to play
- The grid has three across words and three down words with clues listed underneath. Black squares stay empty.
- Tap a square, then type with your keyboard or the on-screen keys. Tap the same square again to switch between across and down.
- Tap a clue to jump to its first empty square. The clue for the current word shows above the grid.
- Tap Check to mark wrong letters in red. The puzzle is solved when every square is correct, and fewer checks give a better result.
Tips and strategy
- Start with the clue you are surest about. Every correct letter helps two words.
- Look at letters where across and down words cross. They must match.
- All answers are common five letter words, so a pattern like T _ A _ N is usually enough to finish a word.
- If you are stuck, use Check. It marks wrong letters but never fills anything in for you.

- They are hand written for this game: thirteen grids built from common words, each with its own clues.
- Is the daily the same for everyone?
- Yes. The date picks the puzzle, so everyone gets the same one on the same day.
- Can I use my physical keyboard?
- Yes. Letters type into the selected square and Backspace deletes. The on-screen keys work too.
