Link Four
Sort sixteen words into four hidden groups of four. Some groups are easy, some are wordplay traps. You have four mistakes. A fresh puzzle every day.
How to play
- Sixteen words are hidden among four groups of four that share something in common. Tap four words, then press Submit.
- A correct group locks in with its colour. If three of your four belong together, you are told you are one away.
- Four mistakes ends the round and reveals the groups you missed. Repeating an earlier guess does not cost a mistake.
- Groups are ranked yellow, green, blue and purple, from the most straightforward to the trickiest wordplay.
Tips and strategy
- Start with the group you are most sure about. Solving one removes red herrings from the rest.
- Words often fit two groups. If one category seems to have five candidates, find which word belongs elsewhere.
- Purple groups are usually wordplay: hidden words, words that precede or follow another word, or letter tricks.
- Use Shuffle to see the words in a new order, which can break a fixed way of seeing them.
FAQ

- Does a wrong guess count twice if I repeat it?
- No. A repeated guess is flagged and does not use up a mistake.
