Eight Boards
Solve eight five-letter word puzzles at once with thirteen guesses. Every guess is checked against all eight boards, and a new set arrives daily.
How to play
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter. The same guess is scored on all eight boards at the same time.
- Green means the right letter in the right place, amber means the letter is in that board's word elsewhere, and dark means it is not in the word.
- You have thirteen guesses to solve every board. A board stops taking guesses once its word is found.
- Each key shows eight small squares, one per board, so you can see what you know about that letter everywhere at a glance.
Tips and strategy
- Open with words that cover many different vowels and common consonants. Every guess teaches you something on all eight boards.
- Solve the boards that are nearly done first, because each solved board frees you to chase the rest.
- A guess that is the answer on one board is also useful information on the other seven.
- Use Practice to try as many boards as you like. Only the daily puzzle counts toward your streak.
FAQ
- Why thirteen guesses?
- Eight boards need more than the usual six tries. Thirteen is enough for a careful player to finish, but tight enough to stay hard.
- Does a new puzzle appear every day?
- Yes. The eight words change at 00:00 UTC and are the same for everyone.
- Is my progress saved?
- Today's guesses and your stats are saved in this browser only.
