Fact or Fib
Four claims, three true and one fib. Spot the fib to learn the real fact behind it. A general knowledge quiz with a daily set and practice runs.
How to play
- Every question shows four short claims. Three of them are true and one is a fib.
- Tap the claim you think is false. A wrong tap is greyed out and counted as a mistake, and you try again.
- When you find the fib the game shows the real fact, so each question teaches you something.
- The clock starts on your first tap and stops after the last question. A faster, cleaner run is a better one.
Tips and strategy
- Be suspicious of claims that sound like popular myths. Many fibs are things people repeat without checking.
- Look for words such as only, never, always and all. They often give a fib away.
- If two claims seem odd, think about which one you could explain. The one you cannot explain is usually the fib.
- Read the correction after each answer. The same fibs return in practice runs.
FAQ
- Where do the facts come from?
- They are short, well known science and nature facts that can be checked in any good reference book. The fibs are common myths and mix-ups.
- Does the same fib come back?
- Not inside one puzzle. Across different puzzles and days the pool is shuffled, so you will see repeats over time.
- Is the daily the same for everyone?
- Yes. It is built from the date, so everyone gets the same questions on the same day.
