Capital Sprint
A rapid-fire geography quiz on world capitals. Pick the right city from four choices as fast as you can, with a fresh seeded set every day.
How to play
- Each question names a country and asks for its capital, or gives a capital and asks for its country.
- Tap one of the four answers. A wrong pick is greyed out and counted as a mistake, and you try again.
- The clock starts on your first tap and stops when you answer the last question. Faster with fewer mistakes is better.
- Choose 10, 15 or 25 questions in practice mode. The daily set is the same for everyone.
Tips and strategy
- Wrong options usually come from the same continent, so read all four before you tap.
- Remember the surprises. Canberra, Ankara, Ottawa and Brasilia are not the biggest cities in their countries.
- Slow down for the last few questions. A mistake costs more than a second of thinking.
- Practice with 25 questions to meet more of the list, then try the daily for a fresh set.
FAQ
- Which countries are included?
- About a hundred widely recognised countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and Oceania. Countries with disputed or split capitals are left out.
- Is the daily set the same for everyone?
- Yes. The questions and the order of the answers are chosen from the date, so everyone gets the same quiz.
- How is my score worked out?
- Your time, from the first tap to the last correct answer, plus the number of mistakes. Your best time is saved on this device.
