Domino Chain

A three player domino match against two computer players. Match the open ends, draw when stuck and empty your hand first to score the pips left in the others.

How to play

  1. Each player gets seven tiles from a double six set. The holder of the highest double starts the chain.
  2. On your turn play a tile that matches a number at either end of the chain. If it fits both ends, choose left or right.
  3. If nothing fits, draw from the yard until something does. When the yard is empty you pass.
  4. The first player to use all their tiles wins the round and scores the pips left in the others hands. First to 50 or 100 wins the match.

Tips and strategy

  • Get rid of heavy tiles and doubles early, they cost the most if you get stuck holding them.
  • Keep a spread of numbers in your hand so you always have a play.
  • If you hold many of one number, try to keep that number open at the ends.
  • Use Hint to see the move the computer would make.

FAQ

What happens if everyone is stuck?
If all three players pass in a row the round is blocked and the player with the fewest pips wins it.
Do the computers cheat?
No. They only look at their own tiles and the chain, just like you.
Can I change the match length?
Yes. Pick first to 50 for a quick match or first to 100 for a longer one before dealing.
