Dice Five
A classic five-dice scoring game. Roll up to three times a turn, hold what you like and fill all 13 boxes for the highest total you can.
How to play
- Press Roll. You get up to three rolls per turn. Tap dice to hold them between rolls.
- After any roll, tap a box on the scorecard to bank the points it would score. Each box is used once.
- A box you cannot fill scores zero, so choose carefully when you have to give one up.
- Fill all 13 boxes to finish. Score 63 or more in the upper boxes for a 35 point bonus.
Tips and strategy
- Go for the upper section early: three of each number gets you exactly to 63 for the bonus.
- Keep the dice that appear most often and re-roll the rest.
- Use Chance as a dump box when a turn goes badly, and save it for a middling roll.
- Five of a kind is worth 50 but rare, so do not give up good scores chasing it.
FAQ
- How is each box scored?
- The upper boxes add up the matching dice. Three and four of a kind score the total of all dice, a full house is 25, a small straight 30, a large straight 40, five of a kind 50 and Chance is the total.
- What is a good score?
- Around 200 is a solid game. Above 250 is excellent.
- Are the dice fair?
- Yes. Each die uses your browser's random number generator and every face is equally likely.
