Spider Patience
Build eight king-to-ace runs across ten columns with two decks of cards. Play with one, two or four suits, with a fresh seeded deal every day.
How to play
- Ten columns are dealt with only the top card face up. Tap a face-up card to pick it up, then tap the column it should go to.
- A card or run goes onto a card exactly one rank higher, in any suit. Only a run of one suit counting down can be moved together.
- Build a full run of one suit from king down to ace and it is cleared from the table. Clear all eight runs to win.
- When you run out of moves, tap Deal row to add one card to every column. You can only deal when no column is empty.
Tips and strategy
- Uncover face-down cards first. A hidden card is a lost option until you free it.
- Try to build in a single suit whenever you can, even though any suit is allowed. Mixed runs can't be moved.
- Keep an empty column as long as possible. It lets you rearrange runs, but remember you can't deal while one is empty.
- Use Undo freely while you learn. Start with one suit, then move up to two and four.
FAQ
- Why can't I deal a new row?
- Spider only lets you deal when every column has at least one card. Place a card into each empty column first, then deal.
- What is the difference between one, two and four suits?
- One suit is the easiest because any descending run is the right suit. Four suits is the hardest, and many deals can't be won.
- Is the daily deal the same for everyone?
- Yes. The deal depends on the date and the number of suits you choose, so everyone with the same setting gets the same layout.
