Reflex Timer
Wait for the red pad to turn green, then press as fast as you can. Five rounds, your average in milliseconds, and a shareable score.
How to play
- Press the pad to begin a round. It turns red, then after a random pause it turns green.
- As soon as it turns green, press it again as fast as you can. Your reaction time is shown in milliseconds.
- Pressing before it turns green is a false start: the round repeats with the same delay.
- After five rounds you get your average and a rating. The daily mode uses the same delays for everyone.
Tips and strategy
- Rest a finger above the pad and focus on the colour change, not the clock.
- Do not try to guess the delay. Anticipating leads to false starts.
- Screen refresh rate and input lag add a few milliseconds, so compare scores only between runs on the same device.
- Practice mode has random delays, so use it to warm up before the daily run.
FAQ
- How is the time measured?
- From the moment the pad is painted green until your press registers in the browser. It includes your device's own input delay, so compare scores on the same device.
- What counts as a good score?
- Under 200 ms is lightning, 200 to 250 is quick, and around 250 to 330 is average for most people.
- Can I replay the daily?
- The daily counts once per day. Use practice mode to play as many times as you like.
