Work out the word, food or phrase hiding in a string of emoji. Five new puzzles every day, with hints and an emoji share grid.

How to play

Each puzzle shows a few emoji. Together they spell out a compound word, a food, a story or a well-known phrase.
The blanks under the emoji show how many letters are in each word of the answer. Type your guess and press Guess.
Hint reveals the first letter of every word. Give up shows the answer and moves on.
Solve all five daily puzzles. Your share grid shows green for a clean solve, yellow for a solve with a hint and red for a give-up.

Read the emoji as sounds or words and glue them together. A rainbow is rain plus a bow, for example.
Check the small category label above the emoji. It tells you whether to think of a word, food, phrase or story.
Spacing, capital letters and punctuation do not matter, so type naturally.
If an emoji looks odd, think about what else it could stand for. A bee might mean the insect or the letter.

Are all the puzzles original?: Yes. They are written for this game and use everyday words, simple compound words, food names and well-known phrases and stories.
Will different spellings be accepted?: Common variants are accepted, such as one word or two, and answers with or without a leading the, a or an.
Is the daily set the same for everyone?: Yes. The five puzzles are picked from the UTC date, so everyone gets the same set until 00:00 UTC.
