Knot Free
Untangle a web of dots and lines by dragging the dots until no two lines cross. Pick 6 to 12 dots and every puzzle is a new random tangle.
How to play
- Dots are joined by lines. Lines that cross are drawn in red and the dots on them glow orange.
- Drag a dot to a new spot, or select it with Tab and move it with the arrow keys (hold Shift for small steps).
- Keep going until the Crossings counter reaches zero. Every puzzle can be untangled.
- Stuck? Press Hint to snap the dot that is furthest from a working position into place.
Tips and strategy
- Start with the dots that have the most red lines and move them to the outside edge.
- Dots with only two lines are easy to move out of the way, so deal with them last.
- Try to move as few dots as possible. Your fewest moves for each size is saved as your best.
- A solved puzzle can often be made tidier by sliding dots away from the lines they sit close to.

- Can every puzzle be solved?
- Yes. Each puzzle is built from a layout with no crossings, then scattered, so at least one solution always exists.
- Do hints count against my best?
- A puzzle that uses a hint is solved but doesn't set a new best, so your records stay honest.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. Touch and drag a dot to move it. The board scales to your screen width.
