Block Fit
Drop shapes onto an 8×8 board and clear full rows and columns. Plan ahead, because the game ends when nothing fits.
How to play
- You are given three shapes at a time. Tap a shape to pick it up, then tap the board to place it. On a computer a preview shows where it will land.
- Shapes cannot be rotated. Fill a complete row or column to clear it and make space.
- Clearing several lines at once scores a big bonus, and you earn points for every block you place.
- When all three shapes are used you get three more. The game ends when none of the shapes you hold can fit anywhere.
Tips and strategy
- Keep one or two rows or columns almost full rather than spreading blocks everywhere.
- Save the long bars and big squares for when there is room, and do not fill the centre with small pieces.
- Look at all three shapes before you place the first one, so you can plan a double clear.
- Clear a row and a column in the same move for a larger bonus than two separate clears.
FAQ
- Can I rotate the shapes?
- No. Shapes keep the orientation they are given, which is what makes planning the key skill.
- Where is my best score saved?
- In your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Can I get stuck right from the start?
- No. Each new hand always includes at least one shape that fits on the board.
