Grid Swap
A scrambled grid of colours fades smoothly from corner to corner when sorted. Swap any two tiles at a time and finish in as few swaps as you can.
How to play
- The grid should blend smoothly: hue changes left to right and lightness changes top to bottom.
- Tap one tile, then tap another to swap them. Any two tiles can be swapped, not just neighbours.
- A dot on a tile means it is already in the right place.
- Sort the whole grid. Par is the fewest swaps that can possibly solve it, and your score is how far over par you finish.
Tips and strategy
- Fix the corners first, because they are the easiest colours to recognise.
- Each swap can put one tile home, and sometimes two. Look for a pair that are in each other's places.
- Tap the same tile again to deselect it without making a swap.
- The 3x3 grid is a good warm-up. 5x5 is a real test.
