Shape Fit
Fit all the tangram pieces exactly into a grey silhouette. Drag, turn and flip the shapes until there are no gaps and no overlaps. Levels add more pieces.
How to play
- Pieces start in a tray under the silhouette. Drag one onto the grey shape, or pick it and use the arrow buttons or keys.
- Turn a piece with Turn left and Turn right (or R and E). Flip it with Flip (or F).
- Every piece must lie inside the silhouette with no overlaps. When the shape is completely filled the level is solved.
- Early levels use three pieces, later ones use all seven. Each new shape is generated fresh.
Tips and strategy
- Place the large triangles first. They fix the outline and leave smaller gaps for the others.
- Look for the right angles and long straight edges in the silhouette, they tell you where squares and big triangles go.
- The parallelogram is the only piece with a mirror image, so try Flip if it will not fit.
- Use Hint to see one correct piece as a dashed outline.
FAQ
- Is there always a solution?
- Yes. Each silhouette is built from the pieces themselves, so it can always be filled.
- Why do pieces snap to a grid?
- All pieces sit on a lattice with edges along rows, columns and diagonals, which keeps placement exact and fair.
- Can I solve it a different way?
- Yes. Any arrangement that fills the shape exactly counts, not only the hidden one.
