Fraction Match
Match fractions to their equals: equivalent fractions, simplest form, missing numerators, decimals and percents. A new daily set is waiting.
How to play
- Each question shows a fraction, decimal or percent. Pick the option that has exactly the same value.
- Questions mix equivalent fractions, simplest form, a missing numerator such as 3/4 = ?/12, decimals and percents.
- A wrong pick is greyed out and counted as a mistake, and you keep going until you find the right one. The clock stops after the last question.
- The daily set is the same for everyone and resets at 00:00 UTC. Practice mode has sets of 8, 12 or 20 questions.
Tips and strategy
- Equivalent fractions come from multiplying the top and bottom by the same number. Compare the factor on both parts.
- For simplest form, divide the top and bottom by a common factor again and again until none is left.
- Memorise a few anchors: 1/2 is 0.5 or 50%, 1/4 is 0.25 or 25%, 1/5 is 0.2 or 20%, 1/8 is 0.125.
- A wrong option often changes only the top or only the bottom. Check both parts before you tap.
FAQ
- Why is 6/8 not the same as 3/5?
- Cross-multiply: 6 times 5 is 30 and 3 times 8 is 24, so they differ. Two fractions are equal only when those products match.
- Does the daily set change?
- Yes. A new set of eight questions arrives every day at 00:00 UTC, the same for every player.
- Are decimals rounded?
- No. Every decimal and percent question uses an exact fraction, such as 0.125 for 1/8.
