Work out the change at the till in dollars, euros, pounds, rupees or yen. A fast mental-maths run with a daily set to race against.
How to play
- Each question shows a bill and the note the customer hands over. Pick the correct change from the options.
- Questions use five currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, INR and JPY. Dollars, euros and pounds have cents, rupees and yen do not.
- Some bills are a single price, some are two items added together, and some are a quantity at a unit price.
- A wrong pick is greyed out and counted as a mistake. The clock stops after the last question. The daily set resets at 00:00 UTC.
Tips and strategy
- Count up from the price to the note: first to the next round number, then the rest.
- For two items, add the pennies first, then the whole units.
- For a quantity bill, multiply the unit price first, then take the total away from the note.
- Look at the last digit of each option before you calculate. It often rules out two answers at once.
FAQ
- Is the money real?
- No. This is a maths game. The amounts and currencies are only for practice and nothing is bought or sold.
- Why are some amounts in whole numbers only?
- Rupees and yen are shown without decimals here to keep the sums clean.
- Is the daily set the same for everyone?
- Yes. Everyone gets the same eight bills each day.
