Digit Span
A number flashes on screen. Type it back from memory. Every round adds one more digit. See how far your short-term memory stretches.
How to play
- Press Show number. A string of digits appears for a short time, then disappears.
- Type the digits back with the keypad or your keyboard. The answer is checked as soon as you have typed every digit.
- A wrong answer adds a mistake and shows the number again so you can retry the round.
- Clear every round to finish. The first round has 3 digits and each round adds one.
Tips and strategy
- Chunk the digits into groups of two or three, like a phone number, instead of remembering them one by one.
- Say the digits quietly to yourself as they appear. It helps your memory hold on to them.
- Turn pairs into familiar numbers, such as ages or years, to make them stick.
- You are not penalised for a replay except for the mistake count, so stay calm.

- Is the daily number the same for everyone?

- Is this a medical test?
- No. It is a game inspired by classic memory exercises and is not a diagnostic or training tool.
