Rock Blaster

Fly a little ship through a field of drifting rocks. Turn, thrust and fire to break them into smaller pieces, and clear the wave before they hit you.

How to play

Turn with the left and right arrows (or A and D), thrust with Up (or W) and fire with Space. On a touch screen use the four buttons under the board.
Large rocks split into medium ones and medium rocks split into small ones. Small rocks are destroyed when you hit them.
Everything wraps around the edges, including your bullets. You have 3 lives and a short shield after each hit.
Clear every rock to start a bigger wave. You earn an extra life every 1,500 points, up to 5.

Short bursts of thrust beat holding it down. Your ship keeps drifting, so a little speed goes a long way.
Shoot the big rocks from a distance. Two or three medium pieces are easier to handle than one huge rock on top of you.
Only four bullets can be on screen at once, so aim before you fire rather than spraying.
Use the screen edge wrap to your advantage. A rock leaving one side comes back on the other.

Can I play on my phone?: Yes. Use the on-screen buttons: turn left, thrust, turn right and fire. Hold a button to keep it pressed.
How do I earn extra lives?: Every 1,500 points you gain a life, to a maximum of 5 at once.
Is my best score saved?: Yes. Your highest score is saved in this browser only.
