Hand Off
Play rock, paper, scissors against an AI that studies your habits. Win as many rounds as you can before three losses end the run.
How to play
- Pick Rock, Paper or Scissors each round. Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper and paper beats rock.
- A win adds one to your score. A tie changes nothing. A loss costs one of your three lives.
- The AI watches your past moves and tries to predict the next one, so repeating a pattern will be punished.
- When your lives run out the run ends and your number of wins is saved as your best.
Tips and strategy
- Humans repeat patterns without noticing, such as cycling in order. Mix your choices up.
- Try to do the opposite of what a pattern-spotting opponent expects after a win or a loss.
- True randomness is the only fully safe strategy, so imagine flipping a coin for each pick.
- Watch the recent-rounds strip to see what the AI has been getting right.
FAQ
- Does the AI cheat?
- No. It only sees your past moves, never the move you are about to make this round.
- Can I beat it for a long time?
- Yes, if you play unpredictably. Against random play the AI has no edge at all.
- Is anything sent to a server?
- No. The AI runs in your browser and your best score stays in this browser.
