Grid Snake
Steer a growing snake around a 16×16 board, eat the gold dots and avoid your own tail. Walls or wrap-around edges, with a best score.
How to play
- Press Start, then steer with the arrow keys or WASD. On a phone, swipe on the board or use the buttons under it.
- Eat the gold dot to grow by one cell and score a point. The snake gets a little faster as it grows.
- The game ends if the snake runs into itself. In Walls mode it also ends when it hits the edge; in Wrap mode it comes out the opposite side.
- Space pauses. Your best score is saved separately for Walls and Wrap.
Tips and strategy
- Make wide, gentle turns early so you are not boxed in later.
- Keep the snake near the edges and sweep the middle in loops when it is short.
- In Wrap mode, remember you can cut across the board through the edges.
- You cannot reverse straight back into your neck, so plan two moves ahead on tight turns.

- Where is my best score saved?
- In your browser on this device, one best for Walls and one for Wrap. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Can I win?
- Yes. If the snake fills the entire board, you win with the maximum score.
- Why did a quick double turn not register?
- Up to three turns are queued, one per step. Very fast presses beyond that are ignored.
