Digit Sum Chain
Tap the numbers in order of their digit sums, each one exactly one higher than the last. Finish chains to earn more time.
How to play
- Each round shows a set of numbers. Add the digits of each number to get its digit sum, so 47 gives 11.
- Tap the number with the smallest digit sum first, then the one that is exactly one higher, and so on.
- Finishing a whole chain adds five seconds. A wrong tap costs three seconds and resets your streak.
- Chains get longer as you go. Score as many points as you can before the clock runs out.
Tips and strategy
- Work out every digit sum first, then tap in order without stopping to think again.
- Spot the smallest digit sum quickly. The rest follow in single steps.
- A long streak adds bonus points to each correct tap, so avoid guessing.
- Numbers like 100 and 910 have small digit sums even though they look big.
FAQ
- What is a digit sum?
- It is the sum of a number's digits. For 305 it is 3 plus 0 plus 5, which is 8.
- Can two numbers have the same digit sum?
- Not in the same chain. Each number in a chain has a different digit sum, and they step up by exactly one.
- When does the clock start?
- On your first tap, so you can read the numbers before you begin.
